Why take this course?

Getting the balance right.

We find many worried organisations asking: should all care managers now be Registered Nurses? We know that’s unrealistic for many reasons but there’s no question that upskilling our non-clinical workforce to confidently identify and respond to clinical risks is an absolute must.

In this unique workshop we will show you how care managers and Registered Nurses can work better together to appreciate the skills and knowledge they each bring to the table. Knowing the how, when and where care managers need to engage the clinical side of practice is vital for both consumer outcomes and compliance requirements.

We’ll give tips and strategies for non-clinical care managers to identify and respond to clinical risks in home care. You will leave the workshop with resources, confidence and skills to know what you can manage on your own and when a registered nurse needs to be involved.
